Why was the challenge started?
We actually were the originators of the 6 week challenge here in Salt lake city. We started this program because we saw a MASSIVE need for Utahns to make a change with their eating habits, and how they move their body.
We have become too much of a sedentary race now. We sit in front of the TV, sit at work, sit on the couch at home again, and we maybe get 10,000 steps in a day… that pails in comparison to our ancestors that would walk or move 30,000-40,000 steps in one day. They were healthier, and happier and in much better shape.
WE need to get back to that, this is why we created the 15 in 5 challenge
